JOB POSSIBILITIES

Personal Attendant
Average Hourly Pay Rate: $10.00 - $10.50

Personal attendants work exclusively in the home of the care recipient.

Job Description: Provides long-term maintenance or support services necessary to enable the individual to remain home and in the community. Each attendant is hired, trained, and supervised by the individual. Activities are determined according to the needs of the individual.

Entry-Level Minimum Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Possess a valid social security number
  • Pass criminal history record check
  • TB testing
  • Cannot be a member of the individual's family
Training
  • Willingness to attend training at the individual's request
  • Possess skills to perform attendant care as specified in the individual's plan of care
  • Registration in the personal attendant registry
  • Comply with the consumer directed personal-attendant services program requirements
Licensure/Registration Requirements: None.
