Companion / Sitter
Average Hourly Pay Rate: $5.70 - 8.90
Companion sitters work exclusively in the home of the care recipient.
Job Description: Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Duties may include light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, sleeping, and living areas, washing the client's dishes and doing laundry, preparing meals, assisting with errands, and escorting client to appointments.
Entry-Level Minimum Requirements
Three criminal background checks-State, County, and Protective Services-are required.
Training
This project is supported by a subcontract from the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services under a "Demonstration to Improve the Direct Service Community Workforce" grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
