Program Assistant / Adult Day Care
Average Hourly Pay Rate: $11.95 - 19.92
Senior Program Assistant: $13.15 - 21.91
Program Assistants and Senior Program Assistants in adult day care work exclusively in adult day care centers.
Job Description: Facilitates activities for the clients, which may include participatory activities, passive activities, memory stimulation games, motor activities, and assistance with toilet needs. Senior assistants also work with the Activities Director, serving as a team leader for Program Assistants.
Entry-Level Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Read and write proficiently in English
- Pass a criminal background check
Training
- Completion of 40-hour, licensed, approved in-house program
- Promotion to Senior Program Assistant is based on performance
Licensure/Education Requirements: Certificate of completion
